Community Lunch and Learn with Pine Bluff Regional Chamber of Commerce

Graphyte hosted a lunch and learn with the Pine Bluff Regional Chamber of Commerce to discuss plans to open the largest carbon removal plant in the world. Members of the community had the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the project.

The company’s Loblolly facility — named after the pine tree species grown in Pine Bluff, Arkansas — is expected to remove 15,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere by end of this year and to have the capacity to remove a further 50,000 tons in 2025.

While carbon is stored as blocks underground, the storage site can be repurposed for other uses such as solar farms, native grasslands, or working agricultural land.
